This is after the Strike! Musical on Main St, May 23rd. Thousands of residents came with lawn chairs to watch a production of the musical, on the 90th Anniversary of the Winnipeg General Strike.

As you can see, the Streetcar was a hit, and many thought it was the real thing, until they got inside!

A Replica Streetcar built for Strike 1919! Dimensions where used from Streetcar 356, and it will be in front of City Hall on May 24th as part of Open Doors Winnipeg from 10am-4pm

A great picture of Winnipeg, looking West on Portage, with all the Streetcars and traffic.

I”m not sure what era this might be, the 1920′s or 30′s? In the Original size you can see a “Metropolitan Theatre” advertisement on the back of the building which says “Talking Pictures” but that could have been up for awhile.

However, I’ve counted 28 Streetcars in this one picture.
